Bio

I have been researching my family history for the last several years.  I have ancestors that hailed from France, Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Italy, Ireland, Slovakia, and Spain.  My research focus in the United States, includes the states of Louisiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I attended the Salt Lake Institute's French Genealogy class in January 2024 and I'm currently enrolled in the Ukrainian course during Fall 2024.  I completed my basic Italian and Eastern European Genealogy Certificates through the National Institute of Genealogical Studies in 2020.  I attended the Advanced Italian Genealogy course at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh in 2019 and the Workshop in Land and Property Records in 2023.  I completed the Research Like a Pro DNA Study Group in November 2020.  In 2022, I completed the Fundamentals of Investigative Genetic Genealogy through United Data Connect. I attended the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records (Gen-Fed) in August 2024.  I am a member of Pima County Genealogy Society and serve on its steering and programming committees.  I also am a member of the Genealogical Research Society of New Orleans, the German Acadian Coast Historical and Genealogical Association, and the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International.  I started this blog not only to share my discoveries with family and friends, but to inspire others to begin their search.
